Amanda Webb Furlow
Founder & CEO of Design AF
Amanda launched Design AF in 2020, transforming a lifelong dream into a powerhouse design firm renowned for creating bold, sophisticated spaces that blend timeless elegance with modern functionality. Armed with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Architecture from the University of Tennessee and a sharp eye for style, Amanda brings precision, creativity, and a global perspective to every project. Her love for travel, culture, and luxury shines through in designs that exude confidence and individuality.
From luxury penthouses to boutique hotels, Amanda doesn’t just design spaces – she transforms them into experiences that inspire and empower.
Whitney Overbay
Chief Financial & Operations Officer
Born and raised in Knoxville, Whitney brings over 20 years of finance experience and a natural gift for organization to her role as CFOO at Design AF. A proud University of Tennessee alum with a degree in Business, she oversees the daily operations that keep the team running smoothly. Over time, Whitney has evolved to help out wherever she’s needed, bringing structure, efficiency, and a positive energy to every project.
She loves that her role allows her to explore her creative side, learning about design and seeing projects come to life from concept to completion. Her favorite design style is Grand Millennial, reflecting her appreciation for timeless charm with a modern twist.
Kiley Markowski
Brand Manager
Kiley joined Design AF in May 2025 and quickly became the creative force behind the brand’s marketing and events. As Brand Manager, she oversees social media, email marketing, brand collaborations, and vendor relationships, bringing energy and innovation to everything from PR campaigns to event planning.
Kiley recently earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Marketing. Known for her elegant, elevated-modern style (with a touch of glam), she loves that no two days at Design AF ever look the same. Surrounded by an inspiring team of women, Kiley brings a bright, creative spirit to every project and believes that great branding starts with genuine connection.
Lauren Smith
Design Operations Manager
Lauren has been part of the Design AF story almost from the beginning, first joining the team just months after the company was founded and now returning as Design Operations Manager. A University of Tennessee graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Architecture, Lauren brings nearly a decade of industry experience spanning interior design, commercial lighting, product sourcing, and sales. In her role, she helps keep the design side of Design AF running smoothly—building vendor relationships, sourcing products, and serving as a resource for both our designers and clients as the company continues to grow.
Lauren has a love for spaces that tell a story, whether through historic architecture, meaningful pieces, or elements that celebrate a client's life and traditions. Her personal style leans organic, coastal, and bohemian, and she especially loves helping clients create spaces that function beautifully for the way they live.
Dylan Hartmann
Director of Design & Construction
Originally from Denver, Colorado, Dylan brings a wealth of experience and a passion for people to his role as the Director of Design & Construction at Design AF. With more than 20 years of experience in interior design, project management, and luxury sales, he works closely with clients to bring their vision to life while helping guide projects from concept to completion.
Drawn to Design AF's unique blend of luxury design and exceptional client service, Dylan loves being part of a team that is helping elevate the design industry in Knoxville. His love for bold, layered interiors and thoughtfully curated spaces is reflected in both his work and his creative spirit.
